Started in 2018, ANEMONE aims to develop a common strategy for monitoring the marine system, which will be a reference point for future activities related to the conservation of the marine ecosystem. The project is coordinated by National Institute for Marine Research and Development “Grigore Antipa” (NIMRD), having as partners Mare Nostrum NGO (Romania), Institute of Oceanology – Bulgarian Academy of Science (IO-BAS), Bulgaria, Scientific Research Institution Ukrainian Scientific Centre of Ecology of the Sea (UkrSCES) (Ukraine), The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, Marmare Research Center (TUBITAK-MAM) (Turkey), Turkish Marine Research Foundation (TUDAV) (TURKEY). Mare Nostrum NGO will coordinate an activity dedicated to involving citizen in the collection of data for scientific purposes, starting from 2 extremely current and important topics: marine litter and the situation of cetacean in the Black Sea.
