EARTH HOUR
March is the month in which Mare Nostrum turns off the light together with hundred of countries in the entire world

Since 2012, in March, together with hundred of countries around the world, Mare Nostrum turns off the light in Constanta. We joined the EARTH HOUR movement in our attempt to sensitize the authorities and electricity consumers towards the CO2 emissions problem. This way Earth Hour became the hour in which Mare Nostrum turns off the light and encourages the citizens to use the resources in a sustainable way. Each year, at the end of March, hundreds of people respond to our initiative, turning off the light between 20:30-21:30 and also by joining us in lighting up candles at the event location. This way they show their support for reducing the electrical energy consumption.
